OUGD406 Studio brief 2 - Licence to print money

We have been given a brief to create a bank note design that will be printed in a traditional method and be exhibited in the end of year show. When creating this bank note we have to consider the actual future of the bank note and if it was to survive then what would it look like. The only limitation to the brief is the size that i will be exhibited (21cm x 26cm) and the method in which it is to be printed (traditional). It is completely up to use to how many sides that we want to create to be displayed.

To make a start into research i decided to look at other peoples redesigns of bank notes to gain inspiration as we all know what a traditional bank note looks like.

Above is a selection of bank note re designs that i looked at, these designs all use the idea of the note being a piece of art work and as a presentation of the country that the note originates in. The designs all take very different approaches on themes but all designs bring bank notes into the 21st century and make them a lot more noticeable inside of just a bit of paper we dont really look at but keep in our wallet. All designs state the amount, and the bank/currency in which they are for this is what i found to be the needed information on a re design so that the design looked official as well as usable, The reset was stylised to the bank note.

From looking at these bank note i decided that i wanted to create a note that would be sustainable in the future and also look good as a piece of art work.
