Above is the combined type and textured background, this worked well as they both complimented each other as separately they did not communicate effectively. To this poster I still needed to add the date, time and location that the movie was going to be show. To make this information stand out from the textured background I added two light blue feathers as this related to the theme of birds. These feathers made the information stand out from the textured background and highlighted important information. Because the information stood out from the background it made it effective in communicating, which was crucial to the posters design.
