The front cover of the publication is a simple and effective design that easily and effectively convays the subject matter of the publication as well as who the publication was created by, it consists of typography to create an image on the front page.
The layout design of this information booklet sticks to a two column type layout and grid throughout the entirety of the publication, there is imagery made solely by letters which create's a unique and interesting design when contrasting with the background colours of the pages.
In this publication, it provides a unique and well-crafted design which uses a simple and effective grid to layout the information, it's interesting that it only uses typography for a sensitive topic which imagery could be miss interpreted into the wrong meaning. The columns allow the text to be fully legible and the large space around the text allows the information to be the main focus and be easily digested.

'What it's really like' is a uniquely designed mental heath publication that is designed in an interesting and engaging way, the publication primarily uses marbling as it's primary imagery throughout the publication.
The publication uses block colour to create contrast against the marble effect in order to clearly read and identify the text throughout the publication.
From both of these booklets, it gives me a detailed look into well-designed publications providing a detailed and far less clinical look compared to a regular information booklet. From these, I want to create an image that is relevant to the subject of Leukemia but not clinical at all relating to my research.
