Typeface choice
I decided that i would use Helvetica as the typeface for my booklet as the booklet need to be as legible as possible. I decided to use san serif as it is less harsh than a serif font so it would feel more welcoming and not panic the reader or put them off as it is for a sensative topic. Although helvetica could be considered to have a clinical look to it, paired with my designs it doesn't look it and it creates a good balance of playful and fun and clinical and serious. The most important thing about using the typeface is that it is legible. I thought that helvetica was a softer typeface than that of which the NHS use giving the overall feel of the information pack a softer more inviting look.
