leaflet development and final

Below is the development that i did adding the label of the front and back, by adding this it made my instructions clearer as i could reference them.

Below is the final leaflet and an image showing he grid that i used to create it. The grid was important as i needed to ensure that the text was kept in its column so that when folded the text was on its own page and not over the page and in the spine.

After finalising my design i then printed and asked someone to try my design to see if others were able to follow it, as that is the aim of my design, below are images of this trial:

The feed back from this was positive. they were able to follow the instructions step by step, and create the booklet the exact way that it should look. The only issue that occurred was the wording is vertical and horizontal as some people find these confusing. They thought that the booklet was a good idea as they also found tutorials hard to follow fro books and videos and said that this bridged the gap and added extra assistance.

Above are images of my final printed leaflet design. In my opinion i think the overall visual aspect of it is very information and minimal which was intentional as the leaflet is instructing so the use of complicated layout and imagery would of  limited the effectiveness of the usability of the design. When undertaking this project i came across a few complications such as the wording of the instructions and alignment of the numbers and centre line as all these aspects needed to work perfectly for the leaflet to be useable. I overcame these issue buy undertaking numerous trials. I could see my final resolution being used as a pull out in a book of paper folds or as a print off used on a website the hosts tutorials for different paper folds.
