I have recently attended a bookbinding workshop were i improved my already existing booking binding skills and recapped on them. I create 3 different books using 3 different methods such as stab stick, pamphlet stitch and also a hard cover concertina book. This workshop was a good recap on what i had already been taught t college the previous year at lca and also reminded my skills. The skills that i learn were very useful and relatable to my work at i am now able to produce a artist book that i could create to store and show my work off in as a portfolio or for personal reference.
Below are photographs of the books that i made and photographed in the photography studio in a workshop. When attending a photography workshop i realised how important it is to take good quality photos of your work as a good photo really shows off all the work and attention to detail that you put into to. This is relevant to my practice as i like to crete physical things and a good way to document them is by taking good photographs that have been light properly.
