app names

After deciding what the app was going to do i thought it was important to give it a name as a start to the branding and something that would influence the app overall design and feel.

names that i came up with were :
beauty saver
oh my beauty
beauty tracker
highlighter
all my beauty
every retailer
Amber - all my beauty, every retailer

The name that i decided to stick which was amber, i choose this name as it had a very feminine sound to it with it being a female name but also was a sort acronym for all my beauty every retailer, which explains exactly what the app does, and is similar to the asos name that stands for as seen on screen.
When receiving feedback on the name people really liked that amber stood for something and found it really catchy similar to assess' name, and that amber reminded them of ambergris which is an ingredient in high end perfumes and said it was a nice tie to beauty products. They also liked theca that i could use a link to the name as a colour and found that it would create a nice subtly link.
