Research on the The light shopping centre

From my initial research into way finding in leeds city centre i concluded that the light shopping centre was a good place to re design the way finding signs, as the signs were very limited and also very inconsistent as there were 3 different type faces used, and the over all look didn't reflect the atmosphere and environment of the shopping centre.

After visiting i took a look at the the light's website to see what places the shopping centre had to offer and the style of the website.

From looking at the website i found that the light had boutique shops, the vue cinema, a gym, a range of restaurants, and also on the outside a select few cafes such as starbucks and greggs.
The light is a very small shopping centre on the inside so way finding is limited, i agree with there being only a select few signs, although the shopping centre has 4 levels it only has a select few things on each floor and is easy enough to navigate without signs. Although signs are not necessary needed for people who are casually browsing, they are a helpful aid for those who are only wanting to quickly navigate to a certain shop etc.
