Above are my final designs for this wayfinding brief. The circle pictogram transfer design is intended to be placed in part of te shopping centre that need the most guidenece, such as at the enterences of albion street and headrow. The design is easily changable as the only changes that need to be made are changing the pictograms and the direction of the arrows, leaving the base of the circle and the lights logo. To back this design up are the singular pictograms in the black circle that will be munted on the wall and back lit. These design will be pointing near the hotel, toilets, cinema and also the gym as they are the hardest things to fine in the shopping centre, this allows you to quickly navigate the shopping centre not only using hte floor signs but also clrify you are going in the right direction.
When undertaking this brief there were many aspects that i had to consider, such as size, colour, usability, legibility, placement and also
materials. These decitions shaped my design as i made a choice to develop and change my initial idea and create something that was creative and also easier and quicker to navigate with. Skills that i learnt while undertaking this project are how to manipulate an image an remove unwanted parts without drasticly changing the look of the image. If i was to develop with project i would of created an actual prototype of my wayfinding design using the viynal cutting in the print room, this would of been a better way to show how the design works.
