This book would be an educational book that teaches students the basics of type anatomy. This design type of the book be in an adult colouring book style as this is very relevant to a popular trend that is about at the moment, i think this is an appropriate style as it is a popular choice of book at the moment and would be a fun way for design students to learn as it uses colour, type and learning all in one, and also the book would be engaging so that it would keep the attention of its intended audience as young people are said to have an attention span of 8 seconds, so the more engaging and fun it is the longer the audience will pay attention to it. The book would be formatted into sections, at the beginning diagrams showing the anatomy and then it would move onto applying the what they have just learnt and then using that to colour in the appropriate parts of the letter forms.
Audience - design students ( possible first year design students learning about type)
Type of book - education / colouring
Binding - hard bound so it is partial and durable
pricing - free to students in universities / or £5, low because of low student budges
Other thoughts - possibly a notes page at the back for the students to make reference notes on or to write way to remember the parts of the letter form.
